Hometown Desserts has won multiple awards on the island, including “Best Key Lime Pie” and “Favorite Bakery” , and it is easy to see why. This adorable bakery started as a home business in 2007, opened its first storefront in 2012, and expanded into its second location (just a short drive to the mainland in Bradenton) in 2016. Owner Cindy Tutterow uses inspiration from family recipes to create an extensive menu of cakes, pies, cookies, and scones! And for those who prefer something a little more savory, Hometown has you covered with various quiches. Custom cakes are available for special occasions as well.
