All meat at The Chop Shop comes from family ranches in the US. Animals are fed 100% vegetarian feed with no by-products and are not given any added hormones or antibiotics. The Butcher’s Block

While a bit more of a drive, this butcher shop is 100% worth the stop. Owned by The McGowan family, The Butcher’s Block has worked with the same small producers for decades.

They sell only premium meats from small farmers who follow all-natural, sustainable, ethical farming practices and have worked with the same farmers for a couple of decades who make their own natural feed that allows the meats to be healthier, better for you, and most importantly, better tasting. Different offerings include USDA Prime Beef, Certified Japanese A5 Wagyu, Duroc Heritage Pork, House-Made Sausages, Florida Raised Chicken and Poultry, Bacon, Ham, and Veal. 

The Butcher’s Block offers custom cuts; we recommend you call ahead to order specialized cuts. Dry-aged beef is also available upon request.

The Fresh Seafood Markets of AMI

Island Fresh Market

Island Fresh Market on Anna Maria Island is located in Holmes Beach, just across the street from the Holmes Beach Public Library. They specialize in local products, including fresh-caught seafood, seasonal produce, and other locally sourced products. As a fun bonus, Captain Anthony’s also offers fishing charters that can be booked for those who want to try their hand at catching their own fish!

The Starfish Company

With fresh fish that are straight off the boat and into the market, the options are endless. You can take your catch as is, have it fileted to perfection by in-house professionals, or even stick around and dine in! All fish are caught locally, and The Starfish Company is a one-stop shop that offers everything you will need for your favorite seafood meals, from seasonings to sides.
